Technologies such as cloud computing, mobile devices, social media, big data, analytics, and remote sensors are the ingredients that are forming the new digital edge. The Internet of Things (IoT) is starting to make an impact on the insurance industry and will be disruptive according to many analysts, consultants and thought leaders. For example, wearables are already collecting health data for individuals. IoT sensors may allow health and auto insurance premium adjustments based on individual’s behavior. IoT enabled smart homes will provide a trove of data that will affect the homeowner insurance market. Commercial insurers will use sensor data to provide smart cargo solutions.
However, to realize these opportunities insurers need to plan for and address both business, privacy, security and technology challenges.
IoT, Digital Edge & Insurance – A Roundtable Lunch for Senior IT and Business Leaders from Enterprise Insurers is invitation only and limited to 50 executives from the insurance community.
We will address the following questions:

  • What will the insurer of the future’s technology infrastructure look like?
  • What is behind the shift from insurers being risk reactors to risk preventers?
  • How does the insurance industry digitally transform itself?
  • How does IoT impact your hybrid cloud strategy?
  • What is the current and future landscape of IoT and digital business ecosystems?
  • What are the most interesting case studies and examples of IoT in the industry currently?
  • Who are the important Insuretechs who are providing innovative solutions?
  • Why is IoT a major business driver for underwriting, claims and premium strategies?
