Q. What is the application and registration process for AdEx?
A. After the potential candidate completes the confidential internet application (http://www.bdionline.com/adexchicago/registration.aspx), he/she will receive an application confirmation via e-mail. Within 24 hours of submitting the confidential application, the candidate will receive a phone call from a BDI staff member who will explain the application process and confirm eligibility. Once the applicant meets preliminary qualifications, the applicant's resume will then be requested and submitted into the confidential resume database. Candidates will then indicate which specific recruiters he/she would NOT like to submit their resume to. Resumes and application will then be made available to the rest of the recruiters. If the applicant is of interest to the recruiter, he/she will receive an invitation to attend the sponsor's information session and it will then be up to the applicant to accept the invitation.
Q. Can an applicant attend an information session if he/she is not invited by a recruiting company?

Unless the applicant receives an invitation from a recruiter, he/she is not permitted to attend AdEx.
Q. When will an applicant know whether or not he/she has been invited to attend a recruiting session?
A. All invitations will be disseminated by the beginning of March.
Q. What will happen with an applicant's resume if he/she is not selected to attend a recruiting session?

Q. My employer is a sponsor of the event, will my privacy be protected?

Once your application has been received, applicants will be contacted by a member of the BDI staff to discuss further qualifications as well as current or past employers that the applicant would not want to view their resume.
